T2 Programmable Controller
Toshiba's T2 Programmable controller is designed for the serious PLC user. When used with the optional IC Memory Card (PCMCIA card), the status of devices and registers can be monitored for each scan or any defined time period. The start of monitoring can be initiated by the user, by any defined input, or by a set time. The IC Memory Card can also be used for data collection, up to 120,000 file registers, or to transfer programs from one T2 to another T2. Other key features on the T2 include:
- SFC and Ladder Programming
- Multitask Processing (main Program and Interrupt programs)
- Networking (to CPU's, Remote I/O, other manufacturers' programs)
- Computer-like instructions (Subroutine calls, Jumps, For-Next Loops, etc.)
- Fixed or Floating Scan Time
- Published Memory Map and Communication Protocol
- 512 I/O (1024 with 32 pt. High Density I/O Modules)
- PID< Ramp and Integral Instructions
- Digit Move Instructions
- Exponential and Log Functions
- Custom I/O Modules Available
- Indirect Addressing
The T2 Rack system replaced the older EX100. The Rack can be expanded to multiple racks for populating an impressive amount of I/O.
The T2 Series itself has now been superceeded by the new V2000 family , all new applications should look at using the V2000 ( S2E/T) products.
