The VFPS1-series inverter has been specifically designed to meet global demand for energy saving and harmonic regulation.

The VFPS1 range is available for 3-PH 240V AC input and 3-PH 380-480V input for pumps & fan applications up to 630 kW. The IP54 version is available up to 90 kW. All VFPS1-series 400V class inverters have a built-in EMI noise filter. VFPS1 inverters over 18.5 kW have a built-in/attached DC Reactor that meets IEC harmonic standards. This DC Reactor will save power and money by limiting the input current to 110% of the rated output current.

Special features include the Multi-PID function, the Fire control mode, sleep function and low-current detection to detect broken belts and pump impellers. The PID operation can be setup to operate in direct or inverse proportion to the pressure, flow or temperature. In an emergency condition, the Fire mode will automatically start and continuously run the fan motor to extract smoke from the building at the pre-set speed. The inverter will remain running regardless of the occurrence of soft faults caused by the fire. In the sleep mode, the inverter will switch on/off according to the (analogue) speed reference.

The PCM programming software allows parameter editing and storage and monitoring and plotting the drive data. The drive's internal "My function" software allows 28 program steps of Logic and Data commands with internal relays, timers and counters. Expansion I/O cards can be added for additional digital, analogue and encoder inputs and outputs.

The VFPS1-series has a built-in RS-485 Modbus communication port. The following field bus interfaces are also available:
